Fred Douglas Whitebear (Connor), JD, MTh, age 64 died July 29 in Riverside, CA of cancer.

He was born in Riverside, CA on March 6, 1939 to Fred A. Connor and Laura Kellog.

He was a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe. Fred attended Emerson Grade School and Paris Gibson Jr. High in Great Falls, MT.

He attended Antioch Law School and detested the American legal system, often citing Michael Foucault the Philosopher.

He developed treatments programs for children in alcoholic families. He served as a tribal manager for several tribes in the northwest.

He attended Episcopal Seminary at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. Fred also served as a hospital chaplain and he preferred philosophical theology.

He is survived by his wife Brenda, three sons, Fred, James, and Tim Connor of San Jose, CA, a daughter Sequoya Juge of Bellevue, WA, as well as four grandchildren.
